When two giants meet

Microsoft and Samsung have announced their new alliance to use each other’s patents. The agreement will be more beneficial to the Redmond giant because Samsung has the largest repository of US patents. Samsung is generally the early adopter of a nascent technology. Though, both the companies can use each other’s patents for some price, this price would be still cheap for Microsoft considering the R&D expenditure. So who has gain an upper hand in the deal? No one has foreseen the future, but for now it seems Microsoft all the way.
