Samsung SPH-B8850 slider announced

 
Samsung has released the SPH-B8850 slider phone, which we reported a few days back. The phone features a widgetized homescreen, 2.4-inch QVGA LCD, T-DMB, 2 megapixel camera, MP3 player, microSD card slot, EVDO and OZ service.
B8850 will be sold on LG Telecom for 400,000 Won ($319).

PRAM to be launched in June

 
Perfect RAM or Phase-change RAM may have missed the commercial launch of 2008 but Samsung is finally gearing up to release it for mass consumption in June after exhibiting it in the Ninth Next-Generation Semiconductor Forum in South Korea. Samsung will showcase a 512Mb (64MB) PRAM prototype at the forum.

UPDATE: Samsung has postponed the announcement.
We already knew this and now Samsung has decided to do it the official way. On June 11 in Milan they’ll show their new offspring created along with the fashion brand. Microsoft’s name in the press conference makes it clear that the phone will be based on Windows Mobile.

Samsung, SanDisk renew chip licensing agreement

 
Samsung and SanDisk have announced their renewal of NAND flash memory license agreement. Though both the companies haven’t revealed the intrinsic agreement details, Samsung will have an upper hand as they’ll pay half the royalty amount that they pay currently.
