Samsung announces U10 and K-Series camcorders

Samsung today unveiled a slew of camcorders, including a camera able record at full HD resolution. The HMX-U10 is a compact camcorder that offers full HD video recording. In addition to it, the camera also has a 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor that allows to click still pictures in 10MP resolution, a 2-inch LCD screen, one-touch upload to YouTube and measures just 15.5mm thick and weighs 95 grams. The U10 also features Active Angle Lens which is already found in HMX-R10 and SMX-C10 camcorders.

The K-Series comprises of SMX-K40, SMX-K44 and SMX-K45 camcorders that are capable of recording at standard definition (720×480) but upscales it to near full HD quality when hooked with a HDTV via its HDMI-out. The common features these cameras boast are 65x Intell-Zoom, image stabilizer, Schneider-Kreuznach lens and much more.

However, the only difference that differentiates each other is by the storage space. SMX-K45 integrates a 32GB SSD while SMX-K44 with 16GB SSD and SMX-K40 with no storage but needs a SDHC memory card.
