Samsung memory cards arrive in Taiwan

Samsung’s promised memory cards have been announced in Taiwan. The new “Plus” memory cards are targeted at those seeking a premium storage medium that ensures data reliability as well as speed. The Plus range comprises of SD, microSD and Compact Flash (CF) cards coming in capacities of 4/8/16GB and complies with the Class 6 of the SD standard. The memory cards can attain a read speed of up to 17MB/s while CF cards top it to 45MB/s.

The cards comes in a brushed metallic design or beige epoxy compound casing and are shock/water resistant as well as offer some protection from magnetic interference.

The price of the cards are unknown at the moment but will go on sale in Taiwan this month with few other countries scheduled to get on a later date.
