These SSDs will go into mass production later this year.

The Korean giant unveils an eco-friendly hard drive, EcoGreen F1 which boasts up to 1 terabyte of space and yet consumes less power. According to Samsung, this drive consumes 15% less power than other low-powered 1 terabyte disks and 50% less than the conventional disks. It also features the trademarked SilentSeek & NoiseGuard technology which keeps the drive’s noise to optimum and ensures a speedy process because of the less number of moving parts.
