Quick note to all using Symbian-based Omnia HD (I8910 HD) and Android-based Moment devices. Samsung’s official Facebook fan page confirmed that they’re working on a firmware update which will include the much needed kinetic scrolling. It’s not yet clear when will they release it but expect it sometime in Q1 2010.

Kinetic scrolling is one of the most desired features on Omnia HD and it seems Samsung has heard the plea. For now, they’ve added the scrolling feature in the Chinese firmware, which means other region specific firmware will be due soon. Samsung last week let loose a software update to its HD video recording I8910 HD (Omnia HD) device. The version I8910XEII1 (Custom version: I8910SERII2) claims to bring in some new features and improvements like the 3D TaskSwitcher, one finger zoom, more spaced out QWERTY keyboard.
